These are some of the pieces I worked the longest on and their story of origin also goes way back.
It all started in school when we talked about photosynthesis. My first impressions of this process were that leafs on trees would produce oxygen like they were some sort of small oxygen factory. That thought stuck with me and I continued that thought with other plants:
Flowers produce pollen, so I turned them into oil rigs that work with pollen instead of oil.
Lily pads are mostly like normal leafs, but they swim, so I combined my original leaf design with a container ship.
Grapes are jelly on the inside, so they function as some sort of „jelly containers“.
I used real industrial landscapes as inspiration for the details, as well as studying the anatomy of the specific plants first to better combine them into one image
