My pre diploma I did in 2016. It describes problems caused by migraines with aura, where you have disturbances in your perception, such as numb limbs and blind spots in your vision. Since I always had to explain to others how it feels like, I decided to show these disturbances feel like from my point of view.
There are usually four forms of disturbances that I can get in my vision:
the first form are bright blind spots that suddenly appear on my right eye and start growing until I’m usually half blind.
The second is that my perception of sharpness in my view gets stronger and stronger. As if I was overloaded by the visual information that I receive.
The third form is that objects that are right in front of me start to appear as if they were further and further away.
And the last form is that a long star like shape starts to appear in the foreground of my vision, usually to the point where I can’t see whats behind it.
When it comes to my limbs it usually starts from my head up, down to my arms and lastly my to feet.
Numbness visually is like fuzziness. The Moment you are in control it is focused and sharp, you can see every tiny detail. But the second the numbness starts, it gets fuzzy, until you can only just see the overall shape. Like these parts are not even there anymore. It mostly starts in speckled parts on the skin and it grows larger.
